Organised by Messe Frankfurt Japan Ltd, the fair continued to serve as a pivotal platform for fostering operational excellence, supporting workforce development, and showcasing innovative solutions designed with children's needs at the forefront. Spanning seven dedicated zones – ICT (Information and Communication Technology), Food Education, Human Resources, Learning Material, Toy and Play Equipment, Inclusive Nurture, and Nursery Operations – the exhibition effectively addressed the practical challenges encountered by childcare providers and decision-makers throughout the region.
In the ICT Zone, particular emphasis was placed on solutions that streamline record-keeping and enhance communication efficiency. Visitors actively engaged in hands-on demonstrations utilising tablet devices and communicated with exhibitors regarding implementation strategies for daily operational enhancement.
Beyond the exhibitors’ booths, the fair’s 22 seminars, workshops and training sessions attracted strong interest from both frontline practitioners and senior management. Many sessions were standing-room-only, highlighting the sector’s growing demand for practical, real-world insights.
Highlights for nursery practitioners included “Multi-functional Strategies for Nursery Management”, “Improving Work Systems to Reduce Overtime”, and “Attachment Disorders and Developmental Disabilities”. Childcare professionals also engaged enthusiastically with sessions such as “Preventing Inappropriate Care through Anger Management”, “Building Stronger Relationships with Parents”, and “Going Viral: Instagram Strategies from Nursery Influencers”. Attendees shared positive feedback on the events, including sentiments that they broadened management perspectives, provoked eagerness to immediately implement the insights, and generated strong intent to return next year.
Exhibitor feedback
“We have taken part in both the Tokyo and Osaka editions of Child Edu & Care Japan since their inaugural events. Despite the relatively high price point of our shuttle buses, we consistently achieve two to three sales per show – often worth around JPY 10 million (around USD 67,700) combined. While we also exhibit at other events, the leads generated here have been the most commercially valuable. Coming all the way from Hokkaido, this fair also provides a rare and worthwhile opportunity to meet existing clients face-to-face.”
Mr Hayato Oshima, West Japan Sales Department, KOGENSHA AUTO PRODUCTS CO., LTD.
“We participated to debut our new display board, which utilises our core electrostatic chuck technology. As a first-time exhibitor, it was initially challenging to attract attention from nursery professionals. However, the networking reception held on the first day proved extremely rewarding – allowing us to engage directly with many nursery representatives. The chance to connect with prospects beyond the exhibition booth really underlined the value of being here.”
Mr Ryuya Sawada, Ataraina Division, Creative Technology Corporation
“Our goal is to raise brand awareness within the nursery sector while supporting the industry's long-term growth, with a strong emphasis on direct dialogue with visitors. This show has allowed us to speak candidly with attendees who remain hesitant about ICT, helping us convey the importance of adapting to new regulations. We've exhibited every year since the inaugural Tokyo show in 2019, including Osaka, and continue to see this fair as an essential venue for listening to the voices of those on the frontline of childcare.”
Mr Kazuaki Nishiwaki, Executive Managing Director, ESTEM Co., ltd.
